No accounts, no tracking
MedStitch has no sign-up. We don’t ask for your name, email, or phone number, and we don’t run ads, cookies, or cross-site trackers. Each device gets an anonymous ID so logs can tell caregivers apart — that’s it.
Site statistics and crash reports
To keep MedStitch working well, we collect two kinds of technical data, neither of which identifies you or includes anything you log:
- Anonymous, cookie-free visit counts (via Vercel Analytics) — page views, country, device type, and which features were used, in aggregate. A feature count records only that something happened, such as “a log was shared” — never who, never a link, never a name or anything you logged. No profiles, no tracking across sites.
- Crash reports (via Sentry) — when the app hits an error, we receive a technical report so we can fix it. Log links are masked before sending, and reports never include your entries.
What we store
Only what you type into a log:
- The patient’s name or nickname (a first name is plenty)
- Medication names, doses, intervals, and any daily cap you set
- Dose, temperature, and blood pressure log entries, with time and the caregiver nickname
- Any free-text notes you add (e.g. symptoms), with time and the caregiver nickname
- Caregiver nicknames (e.g. “Mom,” “Grandma”)
This is health-related information about your family, so we ask you to keep it minimal — a first name or nickname is plenty; please avoid full names, birthdays, and diagnoses. Notes are free-text, so keep them brief and factual and don’t add details you wouldn’t want stored. That keeps it hard to tie to a real person. Data is stored with Supabase on servers in the United States, and access is limited to members of the log. You can delete any entry — or the whole log — from the app at any time.
Who can see a log
Anyone with the log link. Links are long and unguessable, and log pages are marked so search engines don’t index them — but the link itself is the only key, so share it carefully.
When data is deleted
Free logs are permanently deleted 7 days after creation — every dose, temperature, blood pressure reading, note, and entry in them. A log saved with the keep-forever upgrade stays until you email us and ask for deletion. Entries you remove in the app are hidden immediately and purged with the log.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we only learn that a log’s purchase succeeded. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.
On your device
MedStitch keeps a little data in your browser’s local storage: your caregiver nickname, your recent logs, and which expiry reminders you’ve already seen. It stays on your device — clear your browser data to remove it.
Children
MedStitch is for caregivers — adults — to use. A log may hold information about a child, but the service isn’t directed at children and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
